Source: Abundantly found in tidal pools.

Effect: Prevents dehydration for a day

Description: This small, shimmering pink crystal is found in tide pools that have a flourishing ecosystem of life, forming along the walls of the pool. 





Arcanite Boar Tusk Dust
Type: Catalyst   Stability: 2   Element: Death   Value: 30
Source: Abundantly found in fossil beds.
Effect: Restore 1 Ardor point.
Description: Arcanite Boars are innately magical boars found rooting in fossil beds. Their tusks absorb magic from the fossils, falling off naturally once the tusk has absorbed as much magic as it can hold.


Goldenroot Extract
Type: Catalyst   Stability: 1   Element: Steel   Value: 12
Source: Abundantly found in the Battlegrounds.
Effect: Increase a Combat Skill by 1 for 15 minutes.
Description: Found growing seemingly at random within the Battlegrounds, this plant appears completely mundane above the surface, often matching the other plants nearby. However, the roots shimmer gold. The extract can be gained by pressing the roots.


Knight-Lily Willow
Type: Catalyst   Stability: 3   Element: Air   Value: 8
Source: Frequently found at the edges of ponds and creeks.
Effect: Conveys an effect over a distance of about 100 feet.
Description: This flower grows at the edges of water, with an inner layer of pure white petals surrounded by larger grey, shield-shaped petals. Only the white petals possess alchemical properties.


Horewort Bark
Type: Catalyst   Stability: 4   Element: Life   Value: 15
Source: Frequently found in cold wooded areas.
Effect: Activates the Formula’s effects after the user falls below 0 HP.
Description: The Horewort tree grows short and is covered in needle-like leaves. Its wood bears a pale blue tint, making it popular in furniture construction, though only the bark carries alchemical properties.


Betelweed Seed Pods
Type: Catalyst  Stability: 2   Element: Earth   Value: 12
Source: Frequently found in thick wooded areas.
Effect: Restores damaged tissues for 1 rank of Regenerate.
Description: Growing on vines that wrap around trees for support, these plants help their host trees thrive as a form of self-preservation.


Anise Blossom
Type: Catalyst   Stability: 3   Element: Earth   Value: 15
Source: Frequently found in dry arid plains.
Effect: Heals half of the damage currently experienced, rounded up.
Description: A delicate flowering plant adapted to harsh, dry climates, valued for its potent restorative properties.


Lark Spine
Type: Catalyst   Stability: 3   Element: Water   Value: 12
Source: Frequently found in windswept areas.
Effect: Target something out of sight for a Formula.
Description: These porcupine-hawk creatures possess incredibly refined vision, allowing them to see much farther than most creatures. They launch their spines at nearby threats and prefer large open spaces for nesting.


Fireleaf Oil

Source: Frequently found around volcanoes.
Effect: Doubles the user’s Resilience for 15 minutes.
Description: These leaves burst into flame as a natural defense mechanism when touched suddenly. Their oil is best collected by carefully pressing the leaves.


Monk Hawktalis Feather
Type: Catalyst   Stability: 1   Element: Life   Value: 8
Source: Frequently found in grassy areas.
Effect: Absorbs 1 rank of toxins, including medicine.
Description: This frog-like gliding creature cannot truly fly but hurls itself from great heights using powerful legs. Highly resistant to toxins, it consumes poisonous plants and insects. Improperly plucked feathers often result in infection or death.


Speardonna Gem

Source: Frequently found in jungle streams.
Effect: Doubles a target’s Ardor for 15 minutes.
Description: This clear blue gem forms sharp points facing against the current, making it difficult to spot underwater. Once removed, it shimmers softly from within as though filled with magic.

Source: Only found cultivated by fae.
Effect: Gain 1 Determination against being charmed, manipulated, or magically persuaded. Charmed for 1 hour.
Description: A rainbow-hued lichen that grows over magic-infused stone. Easy to grow, but the precise magical conditions required are a closely guarded secret.
