STEP ZERO: Who are You?

Player Guidance:

As you create your character and concept, you will work with the Game Master and Crunchy Number Cryptid. Consider what kind of character you want to play, how they fit into the world and what story you want to tell with them. It is completely alright if all you want is to hang out with friends and fight monsters, all the way to a sweeping epic tale of facing down your greatest enemy and righting ancient wrongs. Are they Discarded or were they born in the Discarded World? How does that effect them? Remember you will be playing with a group, and so need to cooperate and collaborate with a group. That doesn’t mean you have to get along with everyone, or even like them, but you do need reasons to work with a group.

Evil and Selfish characters are allowed, however Player characters are not allowed to be Villains. If your character becomes antagonistic- working against the group, or trying to make the “bad guys” win, then the player will be talked to Above Table about their choices. It may be possible to play those kind of characters as NPCs under the direction of the Game Master. This is a Collaborative Story telling game, and therefore, we are here to play with each other, not ruin each other’s game.

Player Principles:

Play Together, Explore with curiosity, Power of Friendship, Collaborate Creatively, Respect Players

This questionnaire is to help build your character, your experience and the story around your character. It is alright if you don’t know the answer. Give as much or as little detail as suits you. It is just a building tool.
Your Game Maser and Storytellers will use it to help inform your adventures and it may help you make decisions about what stats to take.
